Julian Knörzer (Freiburg, Germany) is a studied school musician and choir director (MH-Freiburg, RAMA Vocal Center Aalborg). As a beatboxer, singer, choir director and arranger he is active in the German vocal scene and internationally active as a lecturer. With his multiple award-winning bands UNDUZO and Acoustic Instinct, he has been touring the German-speaking countries since 2005.
As a beatboxer, he specialized in accompanying vocal ensembles and choirs through many years of work with the Jazzchor Freiburg and other groups. This enabled multiple projects with Bobby McFerrin or Roger Treece and led him to publish the instruction book "Beatbox Your Choir - Chöre und Vocal Groups perfekt begleiten" (Schott) in 2015.

So far, he has celebrated special successes as a choir director with the Senior Jazzchor (third place at the German Choir Competition 2018) and Twäng! (first place at the Aarhus Vocal Festival 2022).

Julian Knörzer teaches beatboxing, ensemble leading and jazz/pop choir directing at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik Tübingen and Hochschule für Musik Trossingen. In addition to his teaching and active concert life, he co-founded the vocal music festival Black Forest Voices in 2019.
